Anderson Completes Term as President of Tallahassee Legal Aid Foundation

Pennington attorney Joan Humphrey Anderson has completed her term as the President of the Legal Aid Foundation (LAF ) of the Tallahassee Bar Association. During her term, LAF expanded its services into two (2) new areas by providing representation to students in issues related to the violation of Leon County School Board rules and a legal clinic at the Neighborhood Health Clinic. Also, LAF was successful in its fund development and received a $23,000.00 grant from the Leon County Commission. She was presented a plaque by the incoming President Chief Magistrate Dawn Caloca Johnson at a recent meeting of the Tallahassee Bar.
Ms. Anderson's practice focuses on health care and business law. Prior to attending law school, she was a health care administrator, serving as a vice president of Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. During the 1997 legislative session, she was a health systems consultant for the Association of Community Hospitals and Health Systems (n/k/a the Florida Hospital Association). She has also taught marketing as an adjunct professor in the School of Business at the University of West Florida.
