(05/23/2007 )

Pennington Partner, Sidney W. Kilgore, was recently appointed by the President-elect of the Florida Bar, Francisco R. Angones, to serve on the Federal Court Practice Committee until 2010. This important committee serves as a liaison between the Florida Bar and the federal courts. The committee also provides a channel for intercommunication among the various standing committees of the Federal Judicial Conference, the Florida chapters of the Federal Bar Association, and to other committees of the Florida Bar with an interest in federal practice. Among other activities, the Committee publishes the Florida Federal Court Practice Manual, describing the practices of individual federal judges in all three Florida federal districts, and reviews proposed changes to the federal rules and the local rules of federal courts in Florida.
