Pennington shareholder Douglas S. Bell appointed to the Democratic National Convention Platform Committee for Barack Obama

Pennington Law Firm shareholder Douglas S. Bell was appointed to the Democratic National Convention Platform Committee for Barack Obama for the 2008 national election. The Committee will help shape the Democratic Party's platform in the national election.
Mr. Bell's practice focuses primarily on governmental and legislative affairs and administrative law. Mr. Bell also serves as vice president of the Tallahassee Community College Foundation. Mr. Bell and his family have been active in Democratic politics for several decades.
This is an historic election and a remarkable opportunity, Mr. Bell said. As always, Florida will play a critical role in this year's election and I am pleased to have a very active role in shaping the platform of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party has an aggressive 50-state strategy to promote and ensure victory throughout the nation. The role of the DNC is to promote the election of the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama through both technical and financial support. The committee also works with national, state and local party organizations to respond to the needs and views of the Democratic electorate and the nation.
