Pennington Law shareholder Bill Hollimon elected vice-chairman of the Florida Elections Commission

TALLAHASSEE  William Bill Hollimon, 48, a shareholder with Tallahassee-based Pennington, Moore, Wilkinson, Bell & Dunbar P.A. has been elected vice-chairman of Florida's Elections Commission.

Hollimon was appointed to the commission by Governor Charlie Crist in May 2008. Members of the commission must be confirmed by the Florida Senate.

The Commission was created to enforce Florida's campaign finance laws, investigate alleged violations and take disciplinary action against individuals who violate Florida's election laws. The Commission is composed of nine members appointed by the Governor. Hollimon was appointed to the Commission by Governor Charlie Crist in June, 2008. Members serve a maximum of two full terms of four years.

Hollimon's practice focuses on patents, trademarks, copyrights and includes civil and administrative litigation in areas of environmental, energy, construction, and professional licensure. Mr. Hollimon has litigation experience in the areas of intellectual property, power plant citing, electricity sales contracts, and fiber optic class action litigation.
